The broad 114 degree angle of view is aided by an advanced optical design, which includes aspherical and extra-low dispersion elements, to realize well-corrected, sharp, and color-accurate imagery. The lens has a manual focus design and permits working with subjects as close as 5.7" away and its petal-shaped hood helps to block stray light from causing unwanted lens flare. Additionally, the lens's focusing scale is adjustable for users to fine tune its working distance according to the deviation of the flange range of their own cameras.
