Le zoom 24-35 mm de Sigma à ouverture f/2 bénéficie d'une ouverture constante très lumineuse, ce qui a pour effet de diminuer la profondeur de champ au maximum en réaliseant des beaux flous d'arrière-plans. L'ouverture est un réel avantage, notamment en basse lumière, et on obtient un gain de 1 IL par rapport à toutes les optiques ouvrant à f/2,8.
