The Fujifilm X-H2 houses a 40MP X-Trans 5 HR BSI Sensor in a body that is as light and compact as an APS-C mirrorless camera. This gives the next generation of hybrid image makers 40-megapixels of resolution to bring out the details of any image. The camera also features an X-Processor 5 that optimises the pixel layout for exceptional detail and colour accuracy, as well as stunning 8K/30p video, enhanced autofocus capabilities, and black-out free image bursts at up to 15fps.

Fujifilm’s X-H2 comes equipped with a host of features that are perfect for filmmakers. It is possible to record up to 8K/30p, Apple ProRes 10-bit 4:2:2 footage internally when using a CFexpress Type B card. You can increase this to 12-bit Apple ProRes RAW or Blackmagic RAW with compatible external devices thanks to the full-size HDMI Type A port on the side of the camera.
The camera features a 2x digital zoom that allows you to increase the focal length of any lens when recording up to 4K. This produces 4K video by down sampling from the camera’s higher resolution.
You can record video using the F-Log2 colour profile that extends the dynamic range to 13+ stops giving you even more flexibility in post-production.
It is also possible to record continuously for up to 160 minutes in conditions that don’t exceed 25°C (77°F) or up to 240 minutes with the optional X-H2 clip-on fan.

The X-H2 is the first X-series camera to feature Pixel Shift Multi-Shot allowing you to create 160MP images. The camera achieves this by recording 20 frames, shifting the sensor by 0.5 pixels between each frame and then combining them into a single DNG RAW file. This can then be output to a desired file format using suitable RAW processing software. Using the Pixel Shift Multi-Shot features ensures that false colours and moiré effects are kept to an absolute minimum.

The X-H2 is capable of producing up to 7 stops of in-body image stabilisation (IBIS), as well as an enhanced algorithm that improves motion detection. This results in shake-free stills and stable panning when shooting video.
It is possible to capture full-resolution images at up to 15fps when using the mechanical shutter, or up to 20fps when using the electronic shutter with the 1.29x crop factor enabled.
Other options useful to photographers include an electronic shutter top speed of 1/180,000 sec and a lower minimum ISO of 125 to aid in low-light shooting.
